Graduation Ceremony of the 52 Trailblazers Set

The Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College (EHJMC) celebrated its 15th Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, 27th June 2026, marking the successful completion of the 2025/2026 Academic Session by the graduating students, proudly known as the “52 Trailblazers”.

The memorable celebration commenced at 8:30 a.m. with the celebration of the Holy Mass at the College Auditorium, followed by the main graduation ceremony.

A total of 52 graduating students were honoured and celebrated for successfully completing their studies at the College. The ceremony provided an opportunity to acknowledge their academic achievements, personal growth, discipline, character development, and the various milestones they attained throughout their years in the College.

The graduating set, aptly named the 52 Trailblazers, represented a generation of students whose journey was marked by perseverance, determination, learning, and personal development.

The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities and members of the College community.

The Chairman of the Day was Mr. Victor Ononogbu, while other distinguished guests included:

  • Lieutenant Colonel Samson Enye, Commanding Officer, Epe Military Cantonment, Lagos
  • His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Olufolami Ogunsowo, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom
  • Mr. Augustine Anyanwu, PTA Chairman
  • Rev Sr Dr. Fausta Manafa, Proprietor of the College.

The Chief Host of the occasion was Rev. Sr. Catherine Oparaji, Principal of the College, who welcomed guests, parents, staff, and graduating students to the celebration.

One of the major highlights of the occasion was the launching of the 2025/2026 Yearbook/Magazine, which captured significant memories, experiences, achievements, and milestones of the 52 Trailblazers during their years at Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College.

The ceremony also featured a variety of engaging activities, including cultural presentations, presentations on moral conduct, recognition of outstanding students, awards, and other performances that showcased the talents, creativity, discipline, and character of the graduating students.

These activities added colour and excitement to the celebration while reflecting the College’s commitment to the holistic development of its students.

The Valedictory Address was delivered by Hillary Ononogbu, the Valedictorian of the 52 Trailblazers.

In the address, the Valedictorian reflected on the students’ experiences and journey through the College, while expressing appreciation to the school management, teachers, parents, guardians, and well-wishers for their support, guidance, sacrifices, and encouragement throughout their years of study.

The Opening Prayer was said by Mr. Olatunji, setting the tone for the successful celebration.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks delivered by Stephen Arabonu, bringing the memorable event to a fitting close.

The 15th Graduation Ceremony was a memorable celebration of the journey, growth, character and accomplishments of the 52 Trailblazers.

It was not only a celebration of academic completion but also a reflection of the values, discipline, faith and life lessons acquired by the graduating students during their time at Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College.

The College Management sincerely appreciates all parents, guardians, members of staff, distinguished guests, friends and well-wishers whose presence, prayers, encouragement, and support contributed immensely to the success of the ceremony.

As the 52 Trailblazers – Class of 2026 embark on a new chapter of their lives, the College wishes them success, wisdom, courage and fulfilment in all their future endeavours.

Graduation Ceremony of the 48 Crystal Set

14th Graduation Ceremony of the 48 Crystal Set & Launching of the Luminous Magazine 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Ibonwon-Epe, held its 14th Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, 5th July, 2025, marking yet another remarkable milestone in the school’s illustrious history. The event celebrated the achievements of the 48 graduating students of the Crystal Set, alongside the official launching of the school magazine, Luminous.

The day commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass, where the entire school community, parents, and distinguished guests gathered to thank God for a successful academic journey and to entrust the future of the graduates into His hands.

Following the Mass, the graduation ceremony began with an opening prayer led by Rev. Sr. Helen Olorunfunmi, invoking God’s blessings upon all present.

A major highlight of the day was the formal presentation of the 48 Crystal Set graduates to the world by Mr. Adetayo Gbolahan, the Vice Principal (Academics). In a graceful procession, the Head Boy, Master Izundu Ebubechukwu, proudly led his fellow graduates to the stage amid cheers and applause.

The guest speaker, Miss Agnes Omovusu, a distinguished alumna of the school, inspired the graduates with heartfelt words drawn from her own life experiences. This was followed by an uplifting address by the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Izundu, who commended the school for its steadfast commitment to nurturing excellence and shaping future leaders.

The Principal, Rev. Sr. Catherine Oparaji, then delivered a touching speech, congratulating the graduates and urging them to uphold the values and moral integrity instilled in them by the college.

The induction of the graduates into the school’s alumni body was conducted by Barrister Zara Okadigbo of the 2017 set, who warmly welcomed them into the growing network of accomplished past students.

An exciting segment of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to the four quadrants, recognizing students who excelled in academics, leadership, departmental achievements, and character, underscoring the school’s dedication to holistic development.

The valedictory speech was eloquently delivered by Iykeobi Tochi, the Head Girl of the set, who, on behalf of her fellow graduates, expressed deep gratitude to the school management, staff, and parents for their unwavering support and guidance throughout their stay.

Another significant highlight was the official launching of the Luminous magazine, anchored by Mr. Izundu Tochukwu, the Chairman of the day. The vibrant publication captures memorable activities, creative works, and the achievements of the students throughout the academic year. The enthusiastic support from parents and guests during the launch demonstrated their continued partnership with the school.

The ceremony concluded with the cutting of the graduation cake, joyful photo sessions, light refreshments, and warm farewells. Mr. Arabono, Secretary of the Graduation Committee, gave the closing remarks, appreciating everyone for their presence and support, while the closing prayer was led by Rev. Father Noel, committing the graduates and guests into God’s hands.

The management, staff, and entire Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College community extend their heartfelt congratulations to the 48 Crystal Set graduates, wishing them God’s guidance and abundant success in all their future endeavors.
